TROOPER INVOLVED SHOOTING

At approximately 7:50 pm tonight a Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper was conducting a traffic stop in Interstate 40 at/near the 285 Exit/Willow Ave.

The Trooper was shot by one of the occupants of the vehicle. The vehicle then left travelling North on Willow Ave. into Cookeville.

Please be on the lookout for a White KIA Forte being driven by 2 black males with facial tattoos. Possible tag on the vehicle is Q9SC4JR.

Interstate 40 East bound is closed at the 285 which is between Tennessee Ave and Burgess Falls exit due to a State Trooper being shot. Please keep him in your prayers.
