By order of the Governor and in accordance with the Honoring Hometown Heroes Act, flags over the State Capitol, all State office buildings, all county and city buildings in the state and upon all Tennessee public grounds shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on August 15, in honor of Memphis Police Officer Demetrice Lavelle Johnson who was killed in the line of duty on August 2, 2024.
