MAN WITH RAPE CONVICTION ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING ON I-40 NEAR MOUNT JULIET

A man wanted out of Nashville for Violation of Community Supervision and removing a GPS monitor for a Rape conviction was apprehended following a short pursuit on I-40 East moments ago. Mount Juliet Guardian Shield, (Which is Mount Juliet’s Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) program) alerted officers to the wanted man’s car, which was located by an officer entering I-40. The man fled until his car experienced a mechanical failure, becoming disabled. He ran from the car across westbound traffic near the 230MM, but he was quickly caught by officers. The 57-year-old wanted male, also driving on a Revoked DL, was arrested.
