BURGLARY INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST BY PUTNAM SHERIFF’S OFFICE

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN – On Friday July 26, 2024, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a reported burglary of a storage building on 3453 Fisk Road. Video footage from the storage building’s security cameras viewed a Gray Dodge Ram pickup truck on July 24 and July 25, 2024, at the storage units. On both dates, the Grey pickup truck and an attached trailer left with items from the storage building believed to be in question. The license plate on the Gray Dodge pickup truck was identified as a stolen license tag. This information made the Grey Dodge pickup truck a vehicle of in-terest and was later identified and subsequently connecting the vehicle to a previous burglary of a con-struction trailer that occurred on July 30, 2024, on Shipley School Road here in Putnam County. In this incident, pieces of the vehicle were damaged and left behind, and the pieces were collected and be-came evidence leading the PCSO detectives to identify two suspects.
The investigation led to the identification of Daniel Boland and Sara Bilbrey. Detectives obtained warrants for both Boland and Bilbrey on August 16, 2024. That same day, the suspects were located in the area of Dodson Branch Road at which time Deputies arrested both individuals, after a short foot pursuit. Both were taken into custody.
Boland was charged with evading arrest, assault on a first responder, two counts of burglary, and one count of theft. Boland has a bond set at $39,500 and a court date of November 21, 2024.
Bilbrey was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft for both the Fisk Road and the Shipley School Road thefts. Bilbrey has a bond set at $12,500 and a scheduled court date of September 4, 2024.
This investigation remains open. If you have any information on Daniel Boland or Sara Bilbrey, please reach out to Detective’s Harris and Meyer of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
