Raymond Turbyfill, age 81, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Raymond faithfully served his country for a combined 49 years, retiring from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant and continuing his civil career serving DCMAC before retiring from DOD as a Technical Lead.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father and mother: Virgil & Juanita Turbyfill and brother: Dennis Turbyfill and stepson: Jim Sisk

Raymond leaves behind his wife of 35 years: Carolyn Turbyfill, of Athens, children: Tina Turbyfill Brown, Tonya Turbyfill Delashonit, Carrie Turbyfill Arden, step-son: Rich & Brenda Sisk, grandchildren: Aaron and Alley Sisk, Chelsie & Aaron McGlothlin, Nick & Katie Sisk, Morgan Shavers, Caden Delashmit, Eli Shavers, Michael Brown, Marley Shavers, Marie Arden, great-granddaughters: Maddie Sisk and Magenta O’Neal, brother, and sister: Charlie Turbyfill and Pat Price, and previous wife Nancy Anderson

The body will lie-in-state at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Interment and graveside service conducted by Rev. Clayton Dunsmore to follow in the Cedar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, is in charge of arrangements.
