Dolly Parton, Dollywood, The Dollywood Foundation, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, and Pirates Voyage have partnered with Walmart to make a $1 million donation to Mountain Ways Foundation food relief efforts to help victims of Hurricane Helene and the many flood victims in East Tennessee.

Mountain Ways is a registered 501(c)(3) geared toward providing immediate assistance to flood victims, and will also coordinate other relief efforts such as food distribution, water distribution, and other supplies.

The announcement was made at a Walmart in Newport, where Walmart, Walmart Foundation, and Sam’s Club CEO John Furner announced the company would also donate an additional $10 million to hurricane relief efforts across all states affected by the hurricane.

So far, Dollywood has donated 60,000 reusable masks, 30,000 disposable protective garments, and 2.5 million disposable masks, and also worked with sponsorship partner Coca-Cola, donating a semi-truck full of water to Cocke County.

Dollywood itself is also set to receive further donations from those wishing to assist with the cleanup. Accepted items include buckets (with lids), fresh socks, cat litter, shovels, working gloves, masks, rakes, cleaning wipes, blankets, hand sanitizer, first aid items, baby formula, diapers, trash bags, tarps, underwear, can openers, and personal hygiene items.
