TWO ARRESTED WITH FENTANYL

On Dec. 12, Deputy Michael Winebarger observed a gold Buick sedan traveling on Highway 127 North. The vehicle turned left onto Tabor Loop without yielding to oncoming traffic, almost causing a collision, which is when the deputy initiated a traffic stop.

The driver was identified as Alex Corey Sanders. There were others in the car, namely Jessica Osborne. The others were not charged, and therefore won’t be named.

Dispatch advised that Osborne had an active warrant for attachment of child support and Sanders had a suspended license. Osborne was asked to exit the vehicle and was taken into custody. While asking Osborne to step out of the vehicle, all of the occupants appeared
to be nervous.

While speaking to Sanders, he was asked to step out of the vehicle, and the deputy observed a pair of black knuckles on the driver seat where Sanders sat. He was asked if he had any weapons on him, and he offered to empty his pockets. While emptying his pocket, Sanders appeared to be nervous and started shaking. He then placed a cut straw onto the car trunk, and inside the straw was a white powder residue.

When asked if anything was inside the vehicle, Sanders said he didn’t know that it wasn’t his vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a cigarette pack containing two small silver spoons and a clear plastic baggie containing 7.5 grams of suspected Fentanyl was located under the driver-side seat.

Sanders was placed into custody at that time. When asked whose vehicle it was, Sanders said his girlfriend, Osborne, had it when he got out of jail and they had been driving it since. When asked about the cigarette pack, Alex became more nervous and denied any ownership of the narcotics.

Sanders and Osborne were transported to the CCSO jail for booking.
