DUCK AND CHICKEN COOP CATCHES FIRE, NO SURVIVORS

The Cumberland County Fire Department responded to a call on Shorty Barnes Rd. near Crossville on Saturday around midnight regarding a chicken coop on fire.
According to a representative with CCFD, the only heat source in the building was a heating lamp.
The 10×6 coop was already on the ground when firefighters arrived.
The fire took around 75 Gallons to put out. No human injuries were reported, however, the ducks and chickens within didn’t survive.
The fire caused an estimated $700 in damage.
