Putnam County, TN – At approximately 5:30 P.M., Putnam County Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Center Hill Dam Road.
Upon arrival of crews, a 20’ x 40’ non-residential building was found with heavy smoke and fire involvement. A quick response and knockdown resulted in the fire being brought under control within 10 minutes of crews arrival. An additional structure was initially in danger but due to the quick actions of crews, it was protected from fire spread.
Putnam County Fire responded with 8 apparatus and 14 personnel. No injuries were reported and the structure is being reported as a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation at the time of this release.
