SIX FROM BLOUNT COUNTY FACE SERIOUS ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGES

Six people from Blount County are facing many animal cruelty charges for leaving 25 pets out in last week’s snowstorm. The officials alleged that the dogs and cats were left in their own filth with no food or water.

Lynn Youngen, Albert Youngen, William Youngen, Madison Huskey, Kari Cross, and Julia Youngen are accused of leaving 12 dogs and 13 cats in cages or tied up outside during last week’s big winter freeze.

The animals, said to be underweight and dehydrated, were rescued and taken to the Blount County Animal Shelter.
