MAN WRECKS TRUCK ON I-40; CHARGED WITH DUI

According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2002 Ford F250 driven by Benjamin J. Anhaiser was traveling east in the right lane on Interstate 40 East near the 314-mile marker on Saturday around 11:14 a.m. when it left the roadway on the right side, struck the ditch, and traveled up an embankment approximately 20 yards before it over-corrected.
It re-entered the roadway, crossed both lanes, and left the roadway on the left side where it traveled into the median. The truck struck an embankment and traveled upward, where it came to a final rest. The truck was pulling an enclosed camper trailer which was also damaged during the crash.
Anhaiser would sustain injuries from the incident and would be charged by the THP with DUI, and Simple possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
