Ms. Geraldine Hamby entered the gates of Heaven, March 6, 2025. She was proud to have been born and raised on Greasy Creek. She enjoyed being from a big family and helping where she could.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Ollie Hamby; sister Helen Diden; brothers Vernon Hamby, and Tony Hamby; sister-in-law Colleen Hamby; brother-in-law Jim Peters; special son Darrell Hamby.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Doug and Lori Hamby; grandsons Jake and Luke Hamby; siblings Leland Hamby, Truman and Sharon Hamby, Carol Peters, Robert and JoAnn Hamby, Jerry and Carla Landrum, Dean and Donna Swint; special children Diane and Arnold Kidwell, Debbie and Danny Watson, Donna Hamby, Denise and Tony Wilson, David and Gwyn Hamby and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 1:00-2:30 with the funeral to follow at 2:30 p.m. with Bro. Tim Hamby and Willard Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Elizabeth Cemetery.
