Mary “Maxine” Griffin, 80

Mary “Maxine” Griffin, lovingly known as “Mac” and “Granny” to those nearest her, passed away on April 22, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1944, in Knoxville, TN, and later resided in Crossville, Tennessee. Maxine had a passion for old Westerns and wrestling; and, you couldn’t tell her that wrestling was not real or the house would come down. Maxine’s love wasn’t just limited to her favorite movies and shows; she had a deep affection for all her cats as well. Maxine is survived by her boyfriend, Scott Kilby, her daughters, Rosella Griffin, and Margaret Moose as well as her five grandchildren, Cassandra, Keith, Dougie, Hannah, and Tanya, and her eleven great-grandchildren. Maxine’s memory will also be cherished by her close friends, Arthur and Lora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Griffin, a Korean War veteran, her son Jeff Griffin, and her daughter Jaclyn Brumbalough. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Mildred; brothers, Jackie, Wayne, Jim, Buddy, and Robbie; and, sisters, Norma & Ernestine.
