Steven Christian, 55

Crossville Memorial – It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Steve — known to so many simply as “Wigg,” a nickname affectionately given because of his unmistakable red hair. Wigg was one of the hardest working men we’ve ever known. Though he didn’t hold a formal degree, he was an engineer in every sense of the word — a problem-solver, a builder, and a craftsman whose work spoke volumes. He was a dedicated cattle farmer and, without a doubt, the most talented dirt work artist around. Steve had a gift for shaping the land, for understanding the contours and character of a jobsite better than most professionals I’ve met. He brought quiet wisdom, grit, and unmatched craftsmanship to everything he touched. Above all else, Steve was family. Loyal, humble, and steady — the kind of man you could count on. He never asked for recognition, but always earned deep respect. We will miss him more than words can express. Rest easy, Wigg — you left your mark on this world and in our hearts. Wigg is survived by his mother, Carolyn Faye Blaylock; Melissa Christian; children, Lucas and Lexi Christian; as well as many close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Douglas Christian. Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 5-8pm. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11am, Don Hassler officiating. He will be laid to rest in Christian Cemetery immediately following the service.
