Four Petro’s Chili and Chips locations in East Tennessee (Powell, Clinton, Seymour, and Oak Ridge) will close on July 31, 2025, as confirmed by COO Alex Widmer. Discussions are underway to potentially reopen the Powell location under corporate ownership.

The company is supporting affected employees with an internal transfer and interview process for corporate locations. Widmer emphasized Petro’s resilience and commitment to growth despite the closures.
