Barbara Ann Gent, 85, of Crossville, TN passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 30, 1940 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She grew up in Crossville and was a faithful and loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Fred Gent; her brother Dennis (Karen) Hall, her daughter Susan (Ricky) Lomax, her grandchildren, Christian (Brittany), Elisabeth, and Caleb Lomax, her niece who is more like a daughter, Tammy White, her great nephews who are more like grandchildren, James Frederick (Amanda) and Clay White, and countless other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nola Hall, and father, Clayton Hall, her sister, Linda Faircloth, and her brother Donald Hall.

She loved quilting, baking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was immensely loved and will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty and generous spirit.

Funeral services will be held at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville, TN on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2 pm. Visitation will be before the service beginning at 11 am and burial will follow the service at Green Acres Memorial Garden also in Crossville.
