Sherry Lynn Goney, 57, of Crossville, TN, passed away on August 30, 2025. Sherry was born on August 12, 1968, in Crossville, TN to Wendell Goney & Mary Hazel Carter. Visitation will be held for Sherry on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory from 2:00 – 3:00 PM with the funeral at 3:00 PM CT. Internment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Sherry is survived by her daughter, Kierra Bryn Smith, her father, Wendell Goney, her brother, Wendell “Doyle” Goney, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. Sherry predeceased her mother, Mary Hazel Carter Clark, by one day; she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Hobert & Roselle Goney and Barlow & Allie Carter.
