JAWS OF LIFE USED IN RESCUE OF DUNLAP CRASH VICTIMS

On Saturday morning, Dunlap firefighters rescued a seriously injured person from a car that had flipped over on Hwy 127 near Rabbit Farm Road, landing in a ditch down a 35-foot embankment. The vehicle carried two occupants; one escaped and flagged down a passing driver to alert emergency services.

Firefighters, assisted by Dunlap Police, used the Jaws of Life to free the trapped victim and employed a rope system to bring them up the embankment. The Sequatchie County Rescue Squad closed the road during the rescue and vehicle recovery operations. EMS transported the injured person to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
