NASHVILLE HOSPITAL CLOSES SURGERY CENTER AFTER THREATENING PHONE CALL

In Nashville, Tennessee, 37-year-old Emil Jawad was arrested and charged after making threatening phone calls to TriStar Centennial Medical Center’s cardiovascular center on Monday, causing its surgery center to temporarily close.
According to court documents, Jawad called the hospital and threatened to “come Wednesday and shoot you all” if he did not receive a check, and made a second threatening call two hours later. The Metro Nashville Police Department responded promptly, and Jawad was taken into custody on Tuesday.
He was booked into Metro jail on charges of felony false reporting and misdemeanor failure to be booked, with his bond set at $12,000.
