On Tuesday afternoon, Clarksville police discovered the bodies of a married couple, Scott Powers, 75, and Kathryn Powers, 74, along with their son, Michael Powers, 48, in a home on Idlewood Drive after a 911 call was received around 1:38 p.m. The Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit processed the scene, determining there was no ongoing threat to the public.

Following the investigation and coordination with the Davidson County Medical Examiner’s Office, authorities concluded the incident was a double homicide/suicide, with Michael having killed his parents before taking his own life.
