KNOXVILLE TEEN SOUGHT FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

From the Knoxville Police Department:
18-year-old Key’Len Cherry is wanted for attempted first-degree murder and employing a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony for his involvement in a shooting that happened on Tuesday evening.
At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, KPD officers responded to a report of shots fired at the McDonald’s location at 5055 N. Broadway.
The investigation determined Cherry and another man got into an altercation while at work at the McDonald’s. At some point during that altercation, Cherry produced a handgun and fired at the victim multiple times while the victim ran away from the business.
Nobody was struck or injured by the gunfire. Cherry left the scene before officers arrived and efforts to locate him so far have been unsuccessful.
Anyone with information concerning Cherry’s whereabouts is asked to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers anonymously at 865-215-7165. Tipsters can be eligible to receive a cash reward.
