OVER 1.29 MILLION COUNTERTOP OVENS RECALLED FOR BURN HAZARD

On September 25, 2025, Sunbeam Products Inc. announced a recall of approximately 1,290,000 Oster French Door Countertop Ovens (plus 104,195 in Canada) due to a burn hazard caused by the oven doors unexpectedly closing. The affected models, TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF, and TSSTTVFDDAF, feature glass doors with metal handles and vary in cooking options and control types.
Consumers are urged to stop using the ovens immediately and contact Sunbeam at 800-334-0759 or https://recall.oster.com to obtain a free repair kit, which includes a clip-on device to secure the doors when open, along with installation instructions. The company has received 95 reports of doors closing unexpectedly, resulting in burn injuries, including two second-degree burn cases.
The ovens were sold at retailers like Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco, Walmart, Amazon.com, and Overstock.com from August 2015 to July 2025 for $140 to $250.
The recall, numbered 25-475, involves products manufactured in China and imported by Sunbeam Products Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia.
