The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving numerous calls and inquiries regarding a “Monroe County Sheriff’s Department” survey that is currently circulating. We want to make it clear that our office did not create or distribute this survey. At this time, we do not know where it originated or whether it is legitimate. One indication is that the survey refers to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department-our official name is the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

We urge everyone to use caution before opening or responding to unsolicited surveys or links. These can sometimes be used to gather personal information or spread scams.
