FOUR IN PICKETT COUNTY CITED FOR USING BAIT TO HUNT BEARS

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is currently investigating a case in Pickett County, Tennessee, where four individuals have been cited for illegal hunting practices involving black bears. According to reports, the group was charged with hunting bears over bait and placing bait in a public hunting area, both of which violate state wildlife regulations.
The use of bait to attract bears is prohibited as it disrupts natural animal behavior and can create unsafe conditions for both wildlife and hunters. The TWRA has not disclosed additional details, such as the identities of the individuals or the specific circumstances of the incident, as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
