INMATE WALKS AWAY FROM WORK RELEASE DETAIL; PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED

From the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office:
On October 7, 2025, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Cody Allen Patterson, a 28 year old white male, who was an inmate worker assigned to the GlasMasters work detail, had walked off the job site.
During the investigation, officers with the Sweetwater Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office discovered that Patterson had cut off his ankle monitor in the GlasMasters parking lot. He then took a white 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 flatbed truck, Tennessee tag H321106
Patterson was serving a 3-year sentence with approximately 8 and a half months remaining for vandalism, parole violation, violation of probation, and burglary, stemming from a previous incident in which he stole a coin box from a car wash.
Patterson is now wanted for felony escape and theft of a motor vehicle. He has been entered into NCIC, and the U.S. Marshals Service has been requested to assist in his apprehension.
