ANDERSON COUNTY PEDESTRIAN HIT BY TRAIN HAS NOW BEEN IDENTIFIED
On Thursday, around 1 p.m., the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a train near Mountain Side Lane and Ponderosa Lane, just outside Rocky Top, Tennessee.
Upon arrival, deputies and emergency medical personnel confirmed that the pedestrian, identified on Tuesday as 33-year-old Candace N. Barnett of Caryville, had died. The sheriff’s office expressed condolences, stating, “The Sheriff’s Office family offers our prayers and thoughts to her family.”
The Criminal Investigation division of the sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the incident.
