Funeral Services for Sharon Flatt, age 70, of the Rinnie Community, will be conducted on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Beaty will officiate with her wishes of cremation to follow. Mrs. Flatt was born on Tuesday, January 4, 1955, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late JB and Oma Hite Phillips. Mrs. Flatt passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Cumberland Medical Center. Mrs. Flatt had worked with Ficosa in Cookeville. She loved fishing, reading, crocheting, canning, and picking her peppers and Tommy Toe tomatoes. She loved Easter with all the kids. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Joe Lee Flatt of the Rinnie Community; children, Tonia Geldart of Crossville, TN, Renea Shock of Cookeville, TN, Joshua Nelson of Clarksville, TN; 9 grandchildren, Justin Key, Dustin Pryor, Christina Pryor, Jessie Pryor, Melissa Pryor, Hope Key, Blake Nelson, Bryar Nelson, and Braxton Nelson; 5 great grandchildren, Carly, Gabriel, Katherine, Atlas, and Maxie; sister, Valerie Hill of the Sunk Cane Community; special friend, Joseph “Big Joe” Hennings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Phillips; and sister, Annette Harris. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.
