SCOTT COUNTY MAN SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS FOR CHILD RAPE
In Scott County, Tennessee, former resident Michael Timothy Montgomery was sentenced to 30 years in prison with no possibility of parole after a jury found him guilty of raping a child.
The sentencing was handed down by Scott County Criminal Court Judge Zachary R. Walden, as announced by 8th District Attorney General Jared Effler.
The case was investigated by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, and Assistant District Attorney General Apryl C. Bradshaw represented the state during the proceedings. Montgomery will serve the full sentence in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
