ROACHES FOUND IN THE SINK OF A FOOD TRUCK IN CLEVELAND
Cleveland’s Super Taqueria Matias food truck failed its health inspection this week with a score of 69, primarily due to a roach infestation and multiple food safety violations. Inspectors observed live roaches in the sink, with the person in charge attempting to address the issue without professional pest control.
Additional problems included two pounds of fried chicken left out overnight on the fryer, a worker failing to use soap during handwashing while preparing food, wet containers stacked together, significant sink leaks, a dirty freezer, and a soiled wipe-down cloth not stored in sanitizer.
Cardboard and rags were also found beneath shelving in the cooler, directly under raw chicken, further compromising sanitation.
