HAULER BREAKDOWN BLOCKS HWY. 127 / SR-28 RIGHT LANE IN BLEDSOE COUNTY

On November 3, 2025, at 2:33 PM, a flatbed truck hauling a dump truck broke down on northbound Highway 127 at Lowe’s Gap Road in Bledsoe County, Tennessee.
The disabled rig blocked the right lane on the hilly Cumberland Plateau route, forcing all traffic into the left lane. Tennessee Highway Patrol and TDOT crews quickly set up cones and flags to manage the single-lane merge, causing 10–15 minute delays over a quarter-mile backup.
A heavy wrecker cleared the scene by 3:15 PM, restoring normal flow with no injuries reported—a routine reminder of the risks oversized loads pose on these narrow rural highways.
