APPROX. 833,000 PELOTON BIKE UNITS RECALLED FOR BREAK RISK
Peloton Interactive Inc. has issued a recall for approximately 833,000 Original Series Bike+ units (model PL02) with serial numbers starting with “T,” due to a hazard where the seat post assembly can break during use, posing fall and injury risks. The recall, announced on November 06, 2025, affects bikes sold nationwide at Peloton and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, as well as online at onepeloton.com, ebay.com, Amazon.com, and Dickssportinggoods.com from January 2020 through April 2025 for about $2,495.
Manufactured in Taiwan, the bikes measure 4 ft. by 2 ft. with adjustable seats and handlebars; serial numbers are located inside the front fork, behind it, or behind the flywheel. Peloton has received three reports of the seat post breaking and detaching, including two injuries from falls.
