OVER 200,000 CAMPING STOVES SOLD AT WALMART RECALLED FOR EXPLOSION RISK

Walmart has issued a recall for approximately 201,000 Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves (model BG2247A1) due to a serious safety hazard in which the stoves can unexpectedly explode or catch fire, posing burn and fire risks to users. The dark green stoves, featuring an orange “Ozark Trail” logo on the front and the model number printed on a gray label inside the fuel compartment, were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com from March 2023 through October 2025 for prices ranging from $8 to $45.
The manufacturer, China Window Industry Co., Ltd. of Taipei, Taiwan, has received 26 reports of the stoves exploding or catching fire, including 16 incidents that resulted in injuries such as second-degree burns. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled stoves and return them to any Walmart store for a full refund.
