THREE BLOUNT TEENS CITED OR CHARGED FOR GUN THEFTS FROM CARS
In Blount County, Tennessee, a 17-year-old William Blount High School student who was arrested for bringing a stolen handgun onto school property on Monday has now been charged with burglary after authorities determined he stole the weapon from a vehicle, according to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office.
A second student, a 16-year-old boy, faces charges of burglary and false reporting for separately stealing another gun from a car; that firearm was recovered and the teen was taken into custody.
Additionally, a third 16-year-old student was cited for failure to report after admitting he knew about the gun on campus but did not notify authorities.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that multiple students are now facing charges or citations in connection with the incident.
