JoAn Brown age 86 of Spring City Tennessee died Monday, December 29, 2025 at Golden Years Retirement Resort.

She was born March 23, 1939 in Modesto, California to the late Joseph and Helen Good Collins. JoAn graduated from Oak Ridge High School and attended Carson-Newman College. She moved from Oak Ridge Tennessee to Spring City Tennessee in 1958. JoAn was a member of Spring City First Baptist Church where she served as secretary, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years. JoAn retired from Vaughn Funeral Home in 2004 where she was secretary for 15 years. She was an avid reader. JoAn loved her God, her family and her many friends.

JoAn is preceded in death by her loving husband Mackie Brown, her sister Bobbie Helms and her brother Reverend Kevin Collins.

Survivors include her children Becky Roberts of Corpus Christi Texas, Vicky (David) Rodda of Spring City Tennessee, and Scott Roberts of Maryville Tennessee. 3 stepdaughters, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel Friday, December 2, 2026 at 3 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 1P.M. until 3P.M.
