Micheal David “Bud” Davis, 68

Micheal David “Bud” Davis, age 68, of Clinton, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 27, 2025. He was born on December 7, 1957, in Clinton, Tennessee, to the late James Bart Davis and Sally Ann (Edberg) Davis.

Bud’s career began as a brick mason, working side by side with his father and learning the value of craftsmanship. However, it was as a master machinist that he discovered his calling. He began his career in the Tool and Die industry at Acraloc in Oak Ridge, TN becoming a journeyman tool and die craftsman. He retired in 2014 as the head of the Automation and Tool and Die Departments at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in Litchfield, IL.

Bud moved back home to Tennessee in 2021, where he cherished spending time with family and living on his sister’s farm.

Bud is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Wiguens Elois) Davis of Powell, TN; Tiffany (Matt) Davis Mehlhorn of Wartburg, TN; and Adriane Wilson-Davis of Litchfield, IL; his son, James Parks of Rockwood, TN; his stepsons, Paul (Piper) Wood of Johnstown County, CO, and Christopher (Teri) Wood of Litchfield, IL; his siblings, Randy “Peanut” (Linda) Davis of Crossville, TN, and Shannon Star Davis (Timothy) Morgan of Kingston, TN; his sister-in-law, Sandy Davis of Caryville, TN; his brother-in-law David Schroeder of Nicholasville, KY; and his longtime childhood friend, Karen Barker.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Bart Davis and Sally Ann Davis; his beloved siblings, James Jr. Davis, John Davis, and Kathy Schroeder; his stepson, Rob Wood; and his daughter-in-law, Nicole Wilson-Davis.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren—Brittany, Sebastian, Cameron, Emily, Davis, Morgan, Arryk, Alaska, and Austin—his great-grandchildren, Waylon, Ayden, Chase, and Aspen—and his nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn, Cody, Jeff, Alicia, Amber, Angie, Miriah, and Conrad.

He will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Garden in Clinton, TN. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
