TREE TRIMMING TO CAUSE NIGHTLY LANE CLOSURES ON I-75 STARTING TONIGHT
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Beginning Tuesday night, January 6, 2026, TDOT contract crews will perform tree trimming activities along I-75 North near the Hiwassee River in McMinn County.
To safely complete this work, the right lane and shoulder will be closed from mile marker 34 to mile marker 36. Advance warning signs and traffic control will begin on I-75 North in Bradley County.

· Time: 8:00 pm EST to 6:00 am EST each night
· Location: I-75 NB from MM 34–36 (Bradley/McMinn County line)
The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be on-site assisting with traffic control. This work is weather-dependent. Drivers are advised to plan ahead, expect delays, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

Tennessee’s Move Over Law requires drivers to move over for highway workers and emergency vehicles. Violation of this law can result in up to 30 days in jail and a fine of up to $500.
