CAMPBELL COUNTY MAN SENTENCED TO FORTY YEARS FOR AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY

On Monday, January 12th, 2026, in the Criminal Court of Campbell County, Tennessee, Judge Zachary R. Walden sentenced Ronnie Lee Market Jr., formerly of Caryville, Tennessee to serve forty (40) years in Tennessee Department of Correction custody. This sentence is the result of a two-day jury trial from April 22-23, 2025, in which a Campbell County jury convicted Market of seven counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery.
The State was assisted in the prosecution of this case by Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy John Minor, formerly a detective with the Caryville Police Department and the Campbell County Children’s Center. At sentencing, the State was represented by Assistant District Attorneys General Philip A. Kazee and Joseph T. Duncan.
