SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO FELONY ARREST IN PUTNAM COUNTY

On January 14, 2026, at approximately 7:00 pm, PCSO Narcotics Unit and PCSO Deputies executed a search warrant at the residence of Brandon Luke Jones, located at 4455 W Broad St in Cookeville, TN.
During the search of the residence, Detectives discovered approximately 2.3 pounds of Marijuana, over .5 grams of Methamphetamine, two digital scales, and several thousand dollars in cash. Detectives also seized 4 firearms, 1 rifle and 3 pistols, along with a large quantity of assorted ammunition. One of the firearms in Jones’ possession was reported as stolen out of Cookeville Police Department.
Jones is a previously convicted felon, which prevents him from legally being in possession of a firearm.
Brandon Luke Jones was arrested and charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of Methamphetamine, Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Armed Dangerous Felonies, and Theft of Property. Jones has a bond set at $170,000 and a court date of February 9, 2026.
Sheriff Eddie Farris said, “We are going to continue to keep these drugs off our street and not let these individuals come into Putnam County to conduct illegal drug activity. We are going to keep Putnam County a safe place to work and live.”
