Funeral Services for Bro. James Sisco, age 84, of the Union B Community, will be conducted on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Stanley Anderson and Bro. Greg Jenkins will officiate with interment to follow in the Muddy Pond Cemetery. Bro. Sisco was born on Tuesday, February 4, 1941, in the Union B Community, to the late Elbert and Artitle Phillips Sisco. Bro. Sisco passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Bro. Sisco was a coal miner and bus driver with Overton County Schools for approximately 10 years. He was called to preach in 1975 and served as pastor of Union B Baptist Church, Pilgram Baptist Church, and Cornerstone Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Johnson Sisco of the Union B Community; children, James Norman and Beth Sisco of Cookeville, TN, Wanda and Bro. Ronnie Swallows of Clarkrange, TN, Lonnie and Donna Sisco of the Union B Community, Ronda and Tony McBroom of Sparta, TN, Perry Sisco of Cookeville, TN, Christy and Bro. Tony Phillips of Clarkrange, TN, Kim and Marty Smith of the Muddy Pond Community, Jennifer and Scottie Pryor of Clarkrange, TN; 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Juanita Beaty of Jamestown, TN; and his babies, Cricket and Little Bit. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Sisco, Austin Sisco, and infant brother, Jr. Sisco; and sister, Vernie May Pickler. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.
