DAVID ANDERSON PROMOTED TO CHIEF OF PUTNAM RESCUE SQUAD

Monday February 9th, during a regularly scheduled Rescue Squad meeting, David Anderson was promoted to the rank of Chief for the Putnam County Rescue Squad. Anderson, who has served as assistant chief since 2007, was promoted by EMA Director and Interim Rescue Chief Brandon Smith before the membership in attendance.
Smith stated, “David has led our community through many ups and downs, and many dark days and events. He is well-respected and will do a fantastic job moving us forward.”
When asked about the role Anderson added, “I am excited to be able to use my years of knowledge and experience throughout my career to continue to provide exceptional leadership for the Putnam County Rescue Squad and community.”
Also at Monday’s meeting Smith and Anderson announced the promotion of Jason Dyer to Deputy Chief, and Jason Bohannon as Assistant Chief.
Dyer, who has served since 2001, and Bohannon, since 2006, each take on their respective roles under Chief Anderson’s leadership with excitement for the future.
“I am honored by the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of Putnam County in this new leadership role with the Rescue Squad,” stated Dyer.
Bohannon also added, “I am truly honored to be selected for this opportunity to serve our community. I look forward to working with the command staff and doing everything I can to go above and beyond in service.”
