JOINT INVESTIGATION INTO COCAINE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK RESULTS IN 12 ARRESTS

A joint investigation led by the Knoxville Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit and Federal Bureau of Investigation into a cocaine distribution network has resulted in the indictment of over a dozen people.

The initial investigation focused on two apartments on S. Olive Street suspected of distributing various narcotics, primarily cocaine. Numerous individuals who were indicted as part of the conspiracy were verified members of the Bloods street gang.

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the following individuals were taken into custody on a variety of charges that include conspiracy to distribute over 300 grams of cocaine. KPD Organized Crimes Unit detectives, Special Operations Squad personnel, Community Engagement Response Team officers, Violent Crimes Unit detectives and Drug Related Death Task Force personnel were involved in the arrest operation.
