Donny Ray Miller, age 66, of Crossville, Tennessee, left his earthly home on February 11, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1959, to Ray and Elsie Barnwell Miller.

Donny was a dedicated transit driver with UCHRA and truly loved the people he served. The Crossville office was more than a workplace to him — it was his second family. He cared deeply for his clients and coworkers, and in 2025 he was honored as UCHRA Driver of the Year, an award that reflected his reliability, kindness, and pride in his work. Donny was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving with the 17th Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Smith (Jeremy) and Amber Ashton (Nick); his sister, Katherine Miller; his fiancée, Pam Neal, his grandchildren, Breanna Miller, Chelsie Miller Cross, Chase Smith, Emilyn Smith, and Jackson Ashton; his great-grandchild, Andrew Miller-Bow, and the mother of his children, Sharon Miller. He was also a beloved Pop-Pop to Reilly Noble, Reece Noble, Donovan Byers, Madi Parrigin, Mason Mackie, and Kloe Mackie.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Adam Ray Miller, and his parents, Ray and Elsie Barnwell Miller.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Justin and Erika Parrigin for their care, as well as Quality Hospice and Buckeye Medical Equipment for the support and compassion shown during Donny’s final days.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM CST at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. The family will receive friends immediately prior to the service from 2:00 – 4:00 PM CST. Donny will be interred at Haley’s Grove Cemetery at a later date, where he will rest near his parents and his son.
