KIRBY LEON “BUCKY” BURKE age 72 of Crossville, TN passed away February 17, 2026. He was born November 17, 1953 in Oneida, TN the son of Archie and Ollie Bell Slaven Burke.

Leon was of the Baptist faith. He was a God fearing man who loved his family, friends and old cars. He spent the majority of his life running a successful construction business with his wife. He loved his wife Cathy of 51 years with his whole heart. He passed down that love to his two children along with his trade skills to his son and grandson. The only thing he loved more than his wife and kids besides the Lord, were his grandchildren. They were the light in his eyes and what kept him going.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Cathy Burke of Crossville, TN, children- Bucky (Lori) Burke and Emily (Phillip) Early, grandchildren- Brayden Burke, Kolby Jones, Kailey Jones and Zathian Early, brothers- David Burke and Bobby Burke and sister- Barbara Burke.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law- R.L. Kirkland.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 20, 2026 at 1pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10am-1pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Big Lick Cemetery.
