STARBUCKS EXPANDS TO NASHVILLE WITH NEW CORPORATE OPERATIONS OFFICE IN TENNESSEE
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, along with Deputy Governor and Economic Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter, recently joined Starbucks officials to announce that the global coffee company will establish a new corporate operations office in Davidson County (Nashville area) later in 2026.
This expansion supports Starbucks’ broader growth strategy across North America, particularly to meet rising customer demand and support coffeehouse expansion in the Southeast U.S. The new office will collaborate closely with the company’s global headquarters in Seattle and is expected to house teams such as those managing supply chain operations, providing better proximity to key suppliers.
Starbucks’ Chief Operating Officer Mike Grams highlighted Nashville’s appeal, citing its deep, talented, and growing workforce as a key factor in choosing the location for a more strategic Southeast presence. Governor Lee praised the move as evidence of Tennessee’s business-friendly environment, strong values, and fiscal conservatism attracting Fortune 500 companies, while Deputy Governor McWhorter and Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell emphasized the addition of high-quality, well-paying jobs that enhance economic mobility and reinforce the state’s and city’s attractiveness for corporate investment.
Partners including the Tennessee Valley Authority and Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce played key roles in the recruitment effort. Additional details on the plans, including job numbers and exact location, are expected to be released in the coming months.
