SUSPECT ARRESTED IN OVERTON COUNTY MURDER CASE
Agents with the TBI and detectives with the Overton County Sheriff’s Department launched an investigation this week after 83-year-old Teddy Turner was found deceased in his home located in the 2200 block of Upper Hilham Road in Livingston.
During the investigation, authorities reportedly gathered evidence that indicated that 54-year-old James Richard Mullins of Baxter, described as an acquaintance of the victim, was responsible for Turner’s death.
Investigators obtained warrants yesterday for Mullins, charging him with felony murder.
Mullins was taken into custody at his home in Baxter and booked into the Overton County Jail. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Baxter Police Department reportedly assisted in the arrest.
No additional details about the incident were immediately released.
