OPERATION M.A.C.E. SEIZES METH, FENTANYL, FIREARMS IN MAJOR MULTI-AGENCY EFFORT

Yesterday afternoon and into the evening, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with more than a dozen local, state, and federal agencies, conducted a large-scale multi-agency operation called the Multi-Agency County Enforcement Initiative (MACE). Over 70 law enforcement officers from agencies including the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, Lenoir City and Loudon Police Departments, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force, and others worked together across the county. Activities included interdiction traffic stops, home checks on probationers, parolees, and registered sex offenders, and follow-up on ongoing drug investigations.

The operation resulted in 119 traffic stops, more than 29 searches, at least 9 contraband seizures, 16 citations, and 3 arrests. Officers seized a total of 445.44 grams of methamphetamine, 173.54 grams of fentanyl, 39 grams of marijuana along with edibles, three handguns, and one suppressor.

Sheriff Jimmy Davis praised the coordinated effort, stating that operations like MACE demonstrate what can be achieved when agencies unite with a shared mission. He expressed pride in the teamwork and long hours dedicated by all involved, noting that their commitment makes the community safer. The Sheriff also thanked Walmart of Lenoir City for donating drinks and snacks, and the Prevention Alliance of Loudon County for providing food for the officers during the operation.
