TENN. SUPREME COURT WARNS OF PHISHING SCAM

The Tennessee Supreme Court and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) have issued a warning to residents about a phishing scam involving text messages and emails that falsely claim to be from the Tennessee Supreme Court.
The fraudulent messages reference an outstanding parking or toll violation and include a link or QR code that directs recipients to a fake website designed to steal personal or financial information. Chief Justice Jeff Bivins emphasized that the state courts do not send text messages or emails about past-due tickets, and any such communications are not legitimate.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation advises anyone who receives one of these messages to ignore it completely—do not respond, click on any links, or scan the QR code.
