DeWayne Charles Ohsner, 64

DeWayne Charles Ohsner, age 64, was lovingly welcomed into this life on March 6, 1962, and was received into the arms of his Heavenly Father on April 23, 2026.
To know DeWayne was to love him and all his DeWayne jokes. If you were to have any of us name the funniest member of our family, it would be him every time. From putting on a Santa suit so Christmases felt special to making sure no one who wanted to play cornhole went without a partner, his love for and devotion to his family was truly felt by each of us and will not ever be forgotten.
DeWayne is survived and will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of almost forty years, Theresa; son, Cody (Ashley) Ohsner; daughter, Kendra (Tyler) Davenport; grandchildren, Riley, Jaxson, & Charlee Agee and Kaiden, Oakleigh, & Braxton Davenport; great-grandchild, Iveland Culbertson; mother, Barbara (Robert) Lee; sisters, Vannetta (Eddie) Fox and Shanna Chrishell (Jason) Simmons; parents-in-law, Jake Welter and Sylvia Waha; sister-in-law, Penny (Tim) Levalley; nieces and nephews, Chad & Kelly, Tiffany & Tim, Kyle & Kathryn, Kenzie & Caleb, and Autum & Eli; great-nieces and nephews, Kaiden, Baylee, Tripp, Braelyn, Keira, Emma, and Bostyn; several aunts and uncles; an abundant host of cousins.
The Lord was not the only one waiting to greet DeWayne upon his arrival in heaven; he was preceded in death by both of his fathers, John (Bill) Ohsner and Ken Godsey; sister, Aleta Short; grandparents, Howard & Beulah Lloyd and Charles Ohsner & Mildred Marie Gill.
Services for DeWayne will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Visitation will begin at 12:00, followed by the funeral at 2:00, with Josh VanNorstran officiating. The graveside service and burial will take place at Akins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Ohsner, Jason Simmons, Tyler Davenport, Kaiden Davenport, Mitch Lloyd, and Luke Hively; honorary pallbearers are Kyle Fox, Eddie Fox, Chad Short, Bobby Hively, Ronnie VanNorstran, and Randy VanNorstran.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DeWayne’s account at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home.
