Linda Sue Stringfield Moffett, age 72, a resident of the Sugar Grove Valley community passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Signature Healthcare in Rockwood, TN with her daughter Mary and cousin Rebecca Harness by her side. Linda was born May 5, 1953, in Harriman, TN. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, watching westerns and was an avid Elvis Presley fan and collector.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Robert Stringfield and Mattie Hester Stringfield, a brother James Stringfield, her grandparents Otis and Della Hester along with additional cousins, aunts and uncles.

Linda is survived by her daughter Mary Sue Stringfield and partner Jim Bolden of Harriman, TN; grandchildren: Kenneth Dewayne Stringfield, Michael Antonio Stringfield. Sister, Judy Martin of Oliver Springs, TN and two brothers: Richard Stringfield of Kingston, TN and Lawrence Stringfield of Chattanooga, TN, along with a host of cousins and extended family members.

The family will hold Receiving of Friends on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, TN with Funeral Services to follow at 7:00 P.M. with Bro. Robert Lankford officiating. Graveside Services will be on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Hester Family Cemetery in Sugar Grove Valley.
