Freddie Ray Whittenburg, age 73, of Crossville, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at UT Medical Center in Jamestown.

Freddie was born on August 28th, 1952, in Crossville, TN, son of the late Arnold James Whittenburg and Mary Lou Whittenburg.

He was an active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, cherished his family and grandchildren, and enjoyed riding and showing his horses. Freddie never met a stranger and will be remembered for his kind heart, strong faith, and love for his family and friends.

He is survived by children, Tony Whittenburg, Jerry Whittenburg (Adria), Arnold Jason Whittenburg (Marsha), and Joe Lamontagne; grandchildren, Calynn, Gracey, Gabe (Kallie), Hope (Randy), Nathan, Hank, and Shelbi; great grandchild, Graham; and siblings, Vivian Abernathy, Odell Whittenburg, and Zelma Bennett.

In addition to his parents, Freddie is preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Whittenburg.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
